Change in Progress is a joint event of some of Britain's leading campaigning organisations. It brings together campaigners in a region to develop new skills and hone existing ones, meet like-minded activists from other networks and campaigns and to share experiences, inspiration and enthusiasm for taking action on the issues they care about.
Change in Progress 2009 took place in Bristol on 21 March and was 'enjoyable and informative' with a 'very positive, collaborative and mutually supportive atmosphere'. The programme included 15 workshops sessions on topics from Campaigning online to Avoiding Activist Burnout. See photos of the day here.
But many participants agreed the truly inspiring thing about the day was meeting other activists from their area:
- "It was good to meet people of different ages and with different commitments."
- Meeting other campaigners "encourages and stimulates."
- "To meet other people as enthusiastic as me brings hope."
- The best part of the day was "meeting other activists".
Change in Progress is an event that has taken place in a different city in the UK every year since 2007.
